Carl Schultz founded the Schultz Funeral Home and Furniture Store in Monona, Iowa, in the year 1909. In 1936, his son and daughter, Gordon Schultz and Ramona Krambeer, starting working with Carl in the funeral and furniture business. Gordon and Ramona continued running the family business until 1986, when Craig and Mary Jo Sexton purchased the Schultz Funeral Home. Craig and Mary Jo Sexton served the community of Monona, Iowa, until their retirement in 2002. Brian and Margaret Leonard along with Joshua and Annette Grau, took over the Schultz Funeral Home in 2002. The name was changed to the Leonard Funeral Home, but the quality and caring service of the former Schultz Funeral Home remained the same. In 2011, Joshua and Annette Grau purchased the Leonard Funeral Home from Brian and Margaret Leonard and are proud to serve the people of Monona and the surrounding area. We will continue to provide quality and caring service to the many families that we serve at the Leonard - Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
